Architect Info:

Two of the world’s most respected course architects have joined forces to design 36 holes of exciting golf at TPC San Antonio — Pete Dye, considered to be one of the most innovative designers in history, and Greg Norman, former number one-ranked player in the world for more than 330 weeks. Situated on 2,800 rolling acres, both courses were envisioned as venues for PGA TOUR tournament play. Scheduled to open in 2010, the courses and the club will position San Antonio as a premier golf destination.

Greg Norman brings three decades of experience as a professional golfer to creating tournament-quality courses that challenge the game’s best while being enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, home of the PGA TOUR’s AT&T Classic, and Tiburón Golf Club in Naples, Florida, host of the PGA TOUR-sanctioned Franklin Templeton Shootout, are just two Norman designs that consistently draw acclaim from the world’s top professionals and amateur golfers alike.

The courses created by Pete Dye have hosted more than 150 professional and amateur events throughout the world, and are scheduled to be the sites of six major championships over the next six years. Influenced by the undulating fairways and unobstructed approaches to the greens of Scottish courses, his style has made an indelible mark on golf course architecture.

To create the most memorable golfing experience possible, TPC San Antonio and the PGA TOUR enlisted the services of Sergio Garcia to assist Greg Norman and paired Bruce Lietzke with Pete Dye. The invaluable perspectives of these players as consultants in the creation of the courses will help ensure a layout that is player-friendly for members and resort guests while challenging for the TOUR professionals.
